I’ve always been a fan of the denim on denim ensemble (or Canadian Tuxedo—whatever you like to call it). Well expect that whole Justin Timberlake/Britany Spears red carpet look from the American Music Awards circa 2001. It’s not like I was any better. At the time I was wearing the lowest of low-rise jeans from Abercrombie and Fitch and tight baby-tees from Old Navy.
They were seriously called baby-tees, guys.
But now that I’m an adult, I like to wear clothes that aren’t made for infants. And achieving this look is simple. Just buy a light chambray button down to wear on top. I bought the own above from Target (it’s lighter in weight which is nice). Then get a pair of dark blue denim jeans for the bottom. Put them on! It’s really that simple.
And if you can’t remember the AMAs look I referred to above—take a walk down the red carpet here.
